The European Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) Design Technician Qualification

The discussion on the professional profile and structure of the European Metal AM Design Technician qualification standard was resumed in this second working session, held on February 22nd 2021, that gathered all DESTINE partners one more time around relevant issues towards reaching a final decision that will enable to start designing the qualification:

European Metal AM Design Technician professional profile, its job functions and job activities,

Entry requirements for the European Metal AM Design Technician qualification,

Possible structure of the qualification in terms of Competence Units to be part of the curriculum.

At the end of the working session, it was decided that the professional profile set needed to be validated by experts in Metal AM Design in order to ensure that all work to be carried out in the project from this point onwards was completely aligned with industry’s needs and requirements.
