The new European Metal AM Design Technician professional profile created in the scope of DESTINE
EWF May. 20th - 2021The new European Metal AM Design Technician professional profile created in the
scope of DESTINE was presented on May 5th 2021 to a Working Group of the International
Additive Manufacturing Qualification System (IAMQS), which elements are experts in
Design, in view of its analysis and validation.
This is an important step on the design and development of the European Metal AM Design
Technician qualification standard as it ensures an alignment with industrial needs and
requirements, which ultimately will lead to its recognition by Industry.
After the validation of the professional profile, the next step of the process will be the
analysis and validation of the structure of the qualification, which will be presented to this
Working Group on a second meeting to be held at the end of May.
